Novak Djokovic to Undergo Surgery
The world’s number one tennis player, Novak Djokovic, is set to undergo surgery. This was reported by the French outlet L'Equipe.
The 37-year-old Serbian tennis star sustained a knee injury during the Round of 16 at the French Open and will undergo meniscus surgery. Recovery is expected to take at least three weeks.
Djokovic's participation in the Wimbledon tournament, starting on July 1, is now unlikely. The 24-time Grand Slam champion is expected to recover in time for the Paris Olympics, which will kick off on July 26.
Next week, Djokovic will drop to second place in the ATP rankings, with Italian player Jannik Sinner set to become the new world number one.
