Death Toll Confirmed from Explosions in Iran
The Iranian authorities have released the confirmed death toll from the terrorist attack in Kerman, revealing that 84 people have died. This information was provided by Iran's Minister of the Interior, Ahmad Vahidi.
He also reported that the number of injured stands at 284, with 220 of them hospitalized. Some are in critical condition.
Earlier reports had suggested 103 fatalities and 211 injuries.
It is noteworthy that explosions were reported on the anniversary of General Qasem Soleimani's death, along a road leading to his grave. The authorities have classified the explosions in Kerman as a terrorist attack.
Iranian media outlets have reported that two explosive devices were placed inside bags near the cemetery, and these devices were detonated remotely.
