43-Year-Old Man Injures Wife with Gunshot on January 1: Incident Details

On January 1, at 4:25 AM, the National Police's operational control center received a report from the Astghik medical center that an ambulance had transported a 42-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the head from Artashisyan Street. This was reported by the Armenian National Police.

An operational group was dispatched to the hospital. Thanks to the coordinated operational-investigative measures undertaken by the Shengavit Police Department and the criminal investigators of Yerevan city administration, as well as investigative actions, it was determined that at around 4 AM, the 42-year-old woman's husband had discharged a smoothbore shotgun into the air and accidentally inflicted bodily harm on his wife.

The 43-year-old man was taken to the Shengavit Police Department. He and the relevant documents have been submitted to the investigative authority. An investigation is underway.
