Where Navalny Has Been Found by His Supporters
Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny is in Correctional Colony No. 3 (IK-3) in the village of Kharp, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The first data regarding Navalny's whereabouts were published on Monday, December 25, by the politician's press secretary Kira Yarmish on the X social network.
Ivan Zhdanov, director of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK), noted that his supporters have sent 618 inquiries to locate Navalny. Navalny's lawyer was immediately denied access to IK-3. “The conditions there are harsh, in a special regime with a permanent frozen zone; it is very difficult to reach, and there are no FSIN-letter or Zonatelecom systems for sending letters,” said Zhdanov.
