Azerbaijan's Position is Principle and Consistent: Bayramov
Azerbaijan's position on the process of regulating relations with Armenia based on international law is principled and consistent. Our determination to continue this process, which started at the initiative of Azerbaijan and has been actively promoted over the past three years, is unwavering.
This was stated by Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a meeting of foreign ministers of Eastern Partnership countries. The information is provided by Azerbaijani media.
“The historical window of opportunity opened with the cessation of the 30-year occupation of Azerbaijani territories,” he said.
Bayramov called for working on a bilateral basis or through the mediation of any impartial and neutral third party.
“We once again reiterate our proposal for equal and fair peace with Armenia and urge to work on a bilateral basis or through the mediation of any impartial and neutral third party. The benefits of peace and friendly relations should not be sacrificed for some short-sighted geopolitical manipulations. By focusing on common interests, determination, mutual respect, and benefits, we can build a more prosperous, stable, and interconnected region of the Eastern Partnership,” emphasized Jeyhun Bayramov.
