Where Should Artsakh Residents Apply for Armenian Citizenship
From November 6, our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, who have been granted temporary protection refugee status, can submit their applications for Armenian citizenship in Yerevan at 3 Zakyan Street, 118/1. In the regions, applications will be accepted at all passport divisions of the Migration and Citizenship Service.
This information has been provided by the Armenian National Police.
According to the announcement, the list of documents required for submitting a citizenship application is as follows:
- Application questionnaire,
- Birth certificate / if in a foreign language, it must be accompanied by a certified Armenian translation,
- A valid passport of a refugee with temporary protection status,
- 6 color photographs sized 35 x 45 mm,
- Marriage certificate and its copy, if the applicant has changed their last name,
- If the applicant has made changes to personal data in accordance with established procedures, a document confirming the changes must also be presented in case of discrepancies with the entries in the required documents,
- Receipt for payment of state duty.
It is reported that the applications submitted by refugees with temporary protection status will be processed in the shortest possible time. When submitting a citizenship application, presenting the temporary protection certificate is not mandatory.
