Information on Azerbaijan's Invasion of Armenia is Incorrect, Says Matthew Miller
The United States Department of State has denied a report by Politico suggesting that Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned U.S. lawmakers that Azerbaijan may invade Armenia in the coming weeks.
In a statement provided to Armenpress, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller stressed that the information in the article is "incorrect" and "does not reflect what Secretary Blinken said to lawmakers."
"The United States firmly supports Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. We have emphasized that any violation of that sovereignty and territorial integrity would lead to serious consequences. The information in this (i.e., Politico's) article is incorrect and does not in any way reflect what Secretary Blinken said to lawmakers," Miller stated in the comment.
