Reuters Photographer Killed, Two Others Injured by Israeli Fire in Lebanon
Israeli forces opened fire from tanks towards the southern region of Lebanon, where Palestinian militants initiated an armed attack. Several photographers from various news agencies, including a crew from Al Jazeera, came under fire in the Alma al-Shaabi area.
Lebanese photographer Issam Abdallah, who worked for Reuters, has been killed, and two others have been injured and taken to the hospital.
Earlier, the press office of the Lebanese army reported that a position of Lebanese soldiers on the Alma al-Shaabi heights was shelled, but there were no casualties.
The journalists had traveled to this border area to prepare reports and were shelled by Israeli tanks on their way.
