France Allocates 7 Million Euros for Social Needs of Displaced Persons from Artsakh, Military Attaché to be Established in Syunik
We have deepened cooperation with Armenia in the defense sector. A military attaché will be stationed at the French Embassy. This was announced by the French Foreign Minister, who added, “We will soon open a consular center in the border region of Syunik.”
Today, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Narek Mkrtchyan, met with Olivier Decottignies, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Armenia. Highlighting the importance of overcoming the humanitarian crisis, Ambassador Decottignies informed the minister that the French government, in cooperation with partner organizations, has decided to allocate 7 million euros to address the social needs of displaced persons from Artsakh.
According to the ambassador, the French side is also preparing to send an airplane loaded with medical supplies and equipment to Armenia to provide first aid to those affected by the explosion at a petrol station in Artsakh.
