VIDEO. We Can Help Marutyan Get the Necessary Votes, but on One Condition: Tevanyan
At this moment, a press conference is taking place with Andranik Tevanyan, the mayoral candidate from the "Mother Armenia" alliance, where he made a statement noting that the alliance has three principles under which they will cooperate with other forces. According to him, they are ready to discuss all types of cooperation formats provided that the other force shares their approaches.
“We can help Hayk Marutyan gather the necessary votes if it becomes clear that he shares our agenda regarding a complete change of power. We declare from the outset that we do not aspire to any position,” he said.
According to him, once such an announcement is made, they will continue discussions. “The issue is that if the problem is being solved separately for the mayor, judging by our legislation and the configuration present in the political field, the mayor of Yerevan, if he doesn’t strike a deal with the government and Pashinyan, objectively cannot implement the program, because 63% of Yerevan's budget is fed from the central system. If they haven’t allowed him to work once, they won’t allow him again. Therefore, you need to change the power for Yerevan to become self-governing,” he assured.
He emphasized that there are no individuals on their electoral list who would cooperate with the authorities. More details in the video.
