Poland Announces Competition for Barrier Construction on Belarus Border, Says Kaminski
The Polish authorities have initiated the process of constructing a barrier over the Bug River at the border with Belarus and have announced a competition for it. This was reported by the country’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Mariusz Kaminski, according to TASS.
According to the minister, the barrier, equipped with electronic surveillance systems, will stretch for 172 kilometers. The head of the agency noted that all interested companies can submit their proposals until September 22. According to the current plans, the competition will conclude in mid-November. Construction of the fence is expected to commence later this year.
