Armenian Chess Player Becomes European Champion Under 18
Armenian chess player Arsen Davtyan has become the European Champion under 18 in Romania. This has been reported by the Armenian Chess Federation.
After suffering a defeat in the first round, Davtyan went on to achieve 8 consecutive victories, earning 8 points out of a possible 9.
“During the tournament, Arsen also fulfilled the international master norm. This is his third norm,” the statement said.
It should be noted that the European Championship took place in the city of Mamaia, Romania, from September 5 to 14. The tournament was held in six categories for boys and girls.
