ICAO Informed About Azerbaijani Gunfire at Kapan Airport
The Armenian government has informed the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) about gunfire fired by Azerbaijan at Kapan Airport on August 18 and 19, which resulted in damage to one of the airport's windows and the roof. This was reported by 'Azatutyun'.
The Armenian authorities have requested support from ICAO to prevent such incidents in the future. This was communicated in response to the media's written inquiry by the spokesperson for the Minister of Territorial Administration, Sona Harutyunyan.
It is noteworthy that just hours after Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's flights from Kapan, a tour of the airport, and an announcement about the start of regular flights, Azerbaijani forces opened fire towards the fully operational airport.
