French Representative Calls on Azerbaijan to Immediately Restore Unimpeded Movement Through the Lachin Corridor
The French representative at the UN Security Council meeting on the issue of Artsakh has highlighted the fact of an eight-month blockade, emphasizing that there is no valid reason for it. This was stated by the Deputy Permanent Representative of France to the UN, Nathalie Broadhurst.
“The obstruction of agricultural activities, which are crucial for the population, also raises deep concern. It is also unacceptable to hinder the activities of the Red Cross. We call for the restoration of gas and electricity supplies and adherence to the decisions made by international authoritative bodies,” said the French representative at the UN Security Council meeting.
The French representative emphasized that this blockade has isolated the population of Nagorno-Karabakh from the world without any legitimate cause.
According to her, France condemns the blockade of humanitarian aid and calls on Azerbaijan to restore unimpeded movement in both directions unconditionally and immediately.
