Iraqi Authorities Decide to Unblock Telegram
The Iraqi Ministry of Communications has announced that on August 13, the country will unblock the Telegram messenger. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
It is noted that the company owning the messenger has agreed to comply with the demands of Iraqi security forces and will disclose the parties responsible for the leak of citizens' personal data. The company has also expressed its full readiness to cooperate with the country's authorities.
The Iraqi Ministry of Communications emphasized that they are not against freedom of expression but highlighted the importance of social media companies adhering to the country's laws.
It should be noted that on August 6, the Iraqi Ministry of Communications announced the blockade of the popular Telegram messenger at the request of local authorities.
