Possibility of a Peace Treaty by Year-End: Armen Grigoryan

In Kishinev, we have made certain progress regarding the delimitation of borders; we cannot say that this issue is definitively resolved, but we have made progress. This was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, during the Sunday program of 'News'.

'All issues are important, and all issues are interconnected. I am convinced that if we make progress on humanitarian issues, meaning if all prisoners are released and we are able to obtain information about the missing persons and understand their fate, as well as on the unblocking issues, the core issue of Nagorno-Karabakh, that is, regarding the dialogue and discussions between Stepanakert and Baku, as well as concerning security and rights being discussed in this format, I believe we are moving forward with certain steps,' he said.

When asked if we are approaching the signing of a peace treaty, the Secretary of the Security Council replied that negotiations are ongoing very intensively and that if they can maintain this momentum, there is a possibility of having a peace treaty by the end of the year.

'Our disposition is such that we find solutions and advance the peace agenda within the framework of those solutions, and we aim to have a peace agreement,' he said.
