American-Armenian grandmaster Samuel Sevyan won the "Jermuk Ashkhar" international chess tournament held in Jermuk. He earned 6 points out of a possible 9, securing first place.
Sevyan did not lose any matches in this tournament, finishing 3 games with victories and drawing 6 times.
The second to fourth places were shared by Nodirbek Yakubboev from Uzbekistan, Amin Tabatabai from Iran, and Armenian representatives Haik Martirosyan and Robert Hovhannisyan, all with five points.
The tournament took place in Jermuk from May 3 to 11, with a prize fund of 4 million drams.
