Matryoshka-Type Diamond Discovered in India

Indian VD Global Company, which is engaged in diamond mining and processing, has discovered a so-called Matryoshka diamond in the state of Gujarat. Another diamond has freely taken its place inside it, as reported by the Indian television channel Wion.

"VD Global has discovered a rare find—a diamond within a diamond—in the city of Surat (Gujarat state)," the channel's report stated.

According to Wion, it was found in October 2022. The weight of the diamond, named "Trojan Heart," is 0.329 carats (0.0658 grams). The find is considered one of the rarest.
