Rosselkhoznadzor Requests Armenia to Halt Dairy Supply to Russia
Rosselkhoznadzor has approached Armenia's veterinary service with a request to suspend the supply of dairy products to Russia starting April 5, according to a statement from the agency.
"Considering the results of negotiations and the insufficient outcomes of previous inspections, which were reported earlier, Rosselkhoznadzor has addressed Armenia's veterinary service with a request to suspend the certification of dairy products from all enterprises in the country for export to Russia starting April 5, 2023," the report states.
The outcomes of inspections conducted from March 20 to 24 in Armenia's dairy processing enterprises were discussed during negotiations between the veterinary services of Russia and Armenia on March 31. "During the meeting, a question was raised about the impossibility of guaranteeing the safety of dairy products for Russian buyers by Armenia's veterinary service," notes Rosselkhoznadzor.
"The possibility of resuming supplies will be discussed later," the agency adds.
