The Removal of Hrachya Sargsyan's Affiliates from the City Hall Continues
The removal of affiliates of former Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan from the City Hall continues. This was reported by the newspaper Hraparak.
The publication informs that the head of the procurement department, Iskuhi Osipyán, has also submitted her resignation. She was regarded as a professional in her field and had been negotiating with officials to remain in her position after the former mayor's resignation. There were even reports that she submitted her resignation on the day of Sargsyan’s departure, but it was not signed.
Earlier, we reported that on the day of resignation, the chairman of the metro's board, Hayk Hovhannisyan, the chief secretary of the staff, Seyran Mejlumyan—who is under investigation for abuse of power—and the head of urban planning and land control department, Sevak Asatryan, also submitted their resignations. Clearly, Hrachya Sargsyan did not hold an untouchable status at the City Hall; he had formed a significant team that is now either leaving or being forced out.
