An-24 Aircraft Collides with Power Line Pole in Yakutia
An-24 aircraft in Yakutia, carrying four crew members and 14 passengers, collided with a power line pole while taxiing on the runway. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the aircraft sustained damage, according to statements from the airline and the Investigative Committee.
The incident occurred on Friday at the airport in the village of Belaya Gora in Yakutia after a routine landing, as reported by the press service of Polar Airlines. "While entering the parking area, the right wing collided with the tower of the power line located in the airport's maneuvering area. There are no casualties from the incident. The Federal Agency for Air Transport has planned a traffic inspection," the statement reads.
According to the Eastern Interregional Transport Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee, the flight from Yakutsk to Belaya Gora included four crew members and 14 passengers. A preliminary investigation is underway for violations of rules concerning the operation of air transport under the Russian Criminal Code.
