Bashar Assad Arrives in Moscow on Official Visit
The President of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, arrived in Moscow this evening on an official visit, where he will hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by Russian media, citing the Syrian President's office.
“President Bashar al-Assad has arrived in Moscow on an official visit, during which he will engage in discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin,” the statement said.
According to a statement released by the Kremlin, the meeting between the two leaders will discuss current issues related to the further development of Russian-Syrian cooperation in the political, trade, economic, and humanitarian sectors, as well as the prospects for a comprehensive resolution of the situation in Syria and its surroundings.
