Klaar on the Meeting of Representatives from Stepanakert and Baku
The European Union's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, Toivo Klaar, has described the news of the meeting between Baku and the representatives of Nagorno-Karabakh as encouraging.
Earlier, the command of the Russian peacekeeping troops announced that representatives from the Republic of Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh, along with the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, Andrey Volkov, held a trilateral meeting today. A similar meeting between representatives of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan took place on February 24 with the direct participation of the Russian peacekeeping command.
“It is good that discussions seem to have focused on both urgent issues and broader questions,” Klaar wrote on Twitter.
