Azerbaijan Responds to the U.S. Ambassador in Armenia
The nerves of the Azerbaijani authorities have frayed again. "The Lachin corridor is always open for normal vehicles," tweeted Aykhan Hacizadeh, the head of the press service of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to the call from the U.S. Ambassador in Armenia.
The spokesperson, promoting the official narrative of Azerbaijan, stated that the country is taking all necessary measures to ensure unhindered traffic on the road.
"To ensure transparency and security, it is necessary to establish a border checkpoint," Hacizadeh noted, revealing Azerbaijan's true intentions.
It is worth recalling that U.S. Ambassador Kristina Quinn in Armenia reiterated Secretary of State Blinken’s call for the immediate reopening of the Lachin corridor.
