Medvedev Explains What Negotiations with Ukraine Might Look Like and Their Implications

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev believes that the day of victory over the Kiev regime will come, but afterwards there will be "difficult and nerve-wracking negotiations." Medvedev stated this on his Telegram channel.

The politician explained the difficulties of the negotiations by noting that the formal participants from Ukraine are one group, while the "actual leaders are entirely different."

“Decisions will certainly not be made by someone like Zelensky. The decision will be made abroad by those who control the supply of weapons to Kiev and allocate money to maintain the remnants of the Ukrainian economy,” he said, emphasizing that foreign leaders want to “weaken Russia as much as possible.”

Medvedev mentioned that the West is not interested in ending the conflict, but sooner or later, Western leaders will have to do so, which will lead to “some sort of agreement.” According to Medvedev, after that, an even more complicated phase of confrontation will begin.
