Germany Prepares Unpleasant Surprise for Ukraine on Anniversary of Military Special Operation
Daily Mail journalist Chris Jewers believes that the protest in Berlin could change Germany's policy on supplying weapons to Ukraine. Jewers noted that the petition called "Peace Manifesto," initiated by Bundestag representative Sarah Wagenknecht and journalist Alissa Schwartzers, has gathered half a million signatures from German citizens calling for an end to arms supplies to Kyiv.
"Germans are urging a focus on peaceful negotiations and freezing the conflict instead of weapons supplies," the journalist writes in his article. Jewers cites the words of Ellen Enni, editor-in-chief at the WDR television station, specializing in conducting social surveys. According to her, there has been a significant increase in the number of citizens who consider Chancellor Olaf Scholz's decision to supply tanks to Kyiv to be a mistake.
