If the US Wants Russia's Defeat, We Will Defend Ourselves by Any Means, Including Nuclear

If Washington dreams of Russia's defeat, a new global conflict may begin. This statement was made by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, as reported by Pravda.ru.

He noted that the gross mistake of the American authorities is the sense of superiority and impunity. He referred to the suspension of Russia's participation in the Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty as a "mature decision," prompted by the US and its NATO allies.

“If the US wants Russia's defeat, then we have the right to defend ourselves by any means, including nuclear,” Medvedev stated.

He also reminded that during his address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin indicated the impossibility of defeating Russia on the battlefield. The politician called for consideration of the reaction of nuclear powers to Moscow's decision regarding the START treaty.
