Video: Earthquake in Turkey Registers 8-9 Magnitude Today
On February 20, the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations' Seismic Protection Territorial Service registered an earthquake in Turkey, with geographical coordinates of 36.13° North latitude and 36.04° East longitude. The quake occurred 13 km southwest of the city of Hatay at a depth of 10 km and had a magnitude of 6.4.
The epicentral area recorded a seismic intensity of 8-9 on the scale. Videos capturing the onset of the earthquake are circulating on social media. According to the latest information, one woman has died and eight individuals have been injured as a result of the tremors.
It is important to note that the earthquakes registered today have also caused destruction in Syria, resulting in casualties.
