The Number of Azerbaijani Citizens Killed in the Devastating Earthquake in Turkey is Known
The number of Azerbaijani citizens killed in the devastating earthquake in Turkey has reached 10, according to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In addition to the 6 citizens whose identities had been previously determined, the identities of 4 more citizens have been confirmed. Their bodies are expected to be transported to Azerbaijan on February 16.
It is recalled that, following the earthquake in Turkey on February 6, the latest figures indicate that 36,000 people have died and more than 105,000 citizens have been injured. At the same time, the fate of 9 other Azerbaijani citizens who were in the earthquake zone in Turkey remains unknown. This was reported by Aghan Hajiyev, head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“It is difficult to provide an accurate number as these figures are constantly changing,” said Hajiyev.
