Road Conditions in Armenia
The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the Republic of Armenia.
Closed are the roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province towards Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari. The Mastara-Lanjik and Artik-Alagyaz roads are difficult for all types of vehicles, while the Vardenyats Pass (with the use of tire chains) and the Spitak bends are open for freight vehicles.
In the Tigranashen bends and on the roads of Aparan city, there are localized areas of black ice.
Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Republic of North Ossetia, the Stepanavan-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
