Opposition Presents Bill to Reduce Stay Duration for Russians in Georgia
The opposition party "For Georgia" has submitted a bill to the Georgian Parliament aimed at reducing the visa-free stay duration for Russian citizens in the country. This was reported by the Russian-language "RT" Telegram channel.
In January 2023, Georgian parliament members from the ruling majority stated that the restoration of direct flights between Georgia and Russia would have a positive impact on the country's residents.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia also reported that approximately 1.5 million Russians crossed the border into Georgia in 2022, which is nearly five times more than in 2021.
