Statement from the Artsakh Information Headquarters

Due to the blockade of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia by Azerbaijan, six patients from the Artsakh Health Ministry's "Republican Medical Center" LLC were transported today to various specialized medical centers in Armenia with the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross. The patients were diagnosed with: "OU - Retinopathy of Prematurity Grade IV-V, Rubiosis Iridis, Anterior Chamber Hypopyon, Leukorrhea, Aphakia," "Neoplasm of the Th12 Vertebral Body, Osteoid Osteoma of Th12 and L1 Vertebral Bodies," "Brain Neoplasm," "Pregnancy I, 8 Weeks," "Neoplasm of the Left Frontal Lobe of the Brain," and "Post-Cholecystectomy Syndrome, Mechanical Jaundice, Cholangitis, Residual Choledocholithiasis."

The planned surgeries remain suspended at healthcare facilities operating under the jurisdiction of the Artsakh Health Ministry. At the "Arevik" medical facility, 10 children are in the neonatal and intensive care units. At the "Republican Medical Center" LLC, 9 patients are in intensive care, 4 of whom are in extremely critical condition. To date, a total of 34 patients have been transported from Artsakh to Armenia with the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
