Shooting Incident in Yerevan: 28-Year-Old Man Injured
Today, on January 17, gunshots were reported in Yerevan. At around 8:30 PM, the Heratsi University Hospital No. 1's operational management center received a call from the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, indicating that a citizen with a gunshot wound to the abdominal wall had been transported to the hospital.
According to Shamshyan.com, an operational group from the Central Division of the Armenian Police, led by Division Head Arman Papyan, arrived at the hospital. The doctors informed the police that the injured man was in surgery and was unable to provide an explanation regarding the incident.
While the doctors were fighting for the young man's life, the police operational group, under the leadership of A. Papyan, identified the victim as 28-year-old Arek Karinyan, a resident of Yerevan. The police also determined that he had sustained the gunshot wound due to shots fired by an unidentified person in the yard of building 27 on Tumanyan Street.
