Family Benefits to Increase by 2000 Drams

Starting from January 1, 2023, the family and social benefits, as well as the monthly amount of quarterly urgent assistance, will increase from 18,000 drams to 20,000 drams in Armenia. This decision was made during today’s cabinet meeting.

According to the same decision, the poverty threshold will remain unchanged and will be preserved at the level established for 2022, which is 28.00 units.

It is worth reminding that the government already increased the base pension and disability benefits by 3,000 drams on September 1, 2022, raising them from 28,600 drams to 31,600 drams. This increase was initially planned to take place on January 1, 2023.
