Major Accident in Egypt: Multiple Casualties and Injuries Reported
A major accident occurred in Egypt's northern Dakahlia governorate, where a passenger bus overturned and fell into a river, resulting in 20 fatalities and 16 injuries. Reports from Al-Masry Al-Youm indicate that the incident took place between the cities of El Mansoura and Mit Ghamr.
The driver was able to eject himself from the vehicle. Rescue operations are currently ongoing. There were more than 45 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident.
Preliminary information suggests that the cause of the crash was the driver's error in navigating a sharp turn, leading to a loss of control. Local authorities are conducting a more detailed investigation into the incident.
