From the Day Following the Battles, Azerbaijanis Are Using Heavy Equipment in the Areas of Jermuk and Vardenis: David Torosyan
Since the day after the battles in September, Azerbaijanis have been using heavy equipment in the regions of Jermuk and Vardenis, and intensive engineering works are being carried out. We are also undertaking various works in different sections, but their resources are disproportionately larger. This was stated by David Torosyan, the president of the NGO "For the Armenian Soldier" and a military journalist, during a broadcast on 24TV.
According to him, there was a planned attack by the enemy in September targeting specific heights, hills, and areas with certain advantages, and they largely succeeded, as the Chief of General Staff has declared – the adversary has penetrated our territory to a depth of 7.5 km along a 8.5 km front.
"The successes of the Azerbaijanis resulting from the September aggression are not insignificant, their casualties are indeed two to three times higher, but penetrating so deeply into enemy territory is undoubtedly an achievement for them. During the military operations that took place on the night of September 12 and the morning of the 13th, we suffered greater losses in terms of personnel and territory than in the April War, but since the September battles lasted briefly, this perception is not apparent in society," he noted.
