VIDEO: There are places where the Ministry of Defense knows the whereabouts of servicemen's bodies, Ombudsman says

Azerbaijan still has not given its consent for the Armenian side to retrieve the bodies of servicemen, stated the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Kristinne Grigoryan, today.

“We have specific locations where the Ministry of Defense of Armenia knows the whereabouts of the servicemen's bodies, but at this moment, the Azerbaijani side is not giving consent for the Armenian side to retrieve the bodies,” said the Ombudsman.

It is worth recalling that on October 14, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Azerbaijan continues to obstruct the retrieval of the bodies of those killed during the recent aggression.

“The remains of several of our soldiers continue to be located in the interposition zones, which are situated within the sovereign territory of Armenia. There is an agreement to organize the retrieval of the bodies in the coming days. I hope this agreement will be fulfilled,” said Pashinyan.
