Zakharyova Compares US Claims to a Fairy Tale

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharyova, refutes the US claims that they are not seeking confrontation with Russia, comparing it to the cunning of the wolf in the fairy tale “The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids.” This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“Remember: ‘Козлятушки-ребятушки, ваша мать пришла, молочка принесла’ – just open the door and let me in. It’s pretty much the same thing. This is a tale about how the ‘peace-loving’ United States, which has carried out two unconstitutional coups in Ukraine with its own hands and providing weapons and all kinds of military-technical support to the Kyiv regime, proclaims peace. A Nobel Peace Prize for peace,” said Zakharyova.

“This is completely illogical; it is impossible to supply weapons to one side of a conflict, despite it espousing inhumane ideologies, and at the same time declare that the state behind all this is peaceful and does not want the situation to degrade. This is a pure lie,” she added.

Earlier, John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council, stated that the US administration is not seeking confrontation with Russia and has no intention of sending troops to Ukraine. According to him, “no one wants this conflict to escalate to a nuclear level, and we see no reason for that.”
