Turkey Stands Behind Azerbaijan's Attack on Armenia: François Bayrou
“107 years after the Armenian Genocide, Turkey stands behind Azerbaijan's attack on Armenia,” said François Bayrou, co-chair of the European Democratic Party of France, during an interview on RadioJ.
He emphasized that France has an unbreakable bond with Armenia and holds indispensable obligations.
It is worth noting that since September 13, Azerbaijani armed forces have been intensively firing artillery and large-caliber firearms towards Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk, and have also used drones. A ceasefire regime was established along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border as of 20:00 on September 14, which has been periodically violated by the Azerbaijani side.
On September 30, the Investigative Committee announced that as a result of Azerbaijani aggression, the Armenian side has recorded 201 casualties: 197 servicemen and 4 civilians, with 293 servicemen and 6 civilians wounded, and 20 servicemen captured.
On October 4, Azerbaijan returned 17 prisoners to Armenia.
