Here Is That Map: Naira Zohrabyan
Former MP Naira Zohrabyan has shared a photo, stating: “According to reliable sources from ‘Haykakan Jamanak’, Azerbaijan envisions the delimitation and demarcation process based on a map from 1919-20. Here is that map: according to this map, Syunik and Vayots Dzor are completely considered part of Azerbaijan, and Gegharkunik partially as well.”
It is worth recalling that ‘Haykakan Jamanak’, referring to its reliable sources, mentioned that if we go down the route of registration, we can say that Azerbaijan has five main demands from Armenia:
- Disbandment of the Artsakh Defense Army
- Recognition of Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan without any autonomous status: in other words, with a status of zero.
- A corridor through Armenian territory
- Delimitation and demarcation process based on maps from 1919 and 1920 (it is currently unknown which specific maps are being discussed)
- Clarification of the fate of missing Azerbaijanis, potentially with an intention to accuse Armenia of war crimes later on.
