Arrests Made in Connection with Explosion and Fire in Stepanakert
Arrests have been made in connection with the fire and explosion that occurred in Stepanakert. This was reported by the Police Department of the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs.
On August 25, 2022, at around 1:30 PM, a fire broke out at the address 20/3 T. Mets Street in Stepanakert, in an area known as "Platoczni." The fire and the explosion of illegally stored military ammunition resulted in the destruction and damage of workshops, buildings, and property located in the vicinity of the warehouse.
A criminal case has been initiated by the Stepanakert Police Department regarding the incident, leading to the arrest of several residents of Stepanakert: D.M., born in 1986; H.S., born in 1998; Yu.M., born in 1955; and L.K., born in 1986. An investigation is underway.
