Three Armenian Athletes Compete for Championship Title Today, Manasyan's Appeal Not Granted
The European Boxing Championship, nearing its end in Yerevan, will feature the final matches on May 30. The Armenian team, which participated with 13 boxers, has three finalists.
Arthur Bazeian (57 kg), Hovhannes Bachkov (63.5 kg), and Raphael Hovhannisyan (86 kg) will all compete for the championship title.
Bazeian will face Belgium's Vasil Usturov at 18:00. Olympic bronze medalist Hovhannes Bachkov will battle Italy's Lunes Amraoui for his third European championship title at 18:30.
Raphael Hovhannisyan is set to compete for the gold medal against Georgia's Giorgi Koshinashvili, with the match starting at 19:45.
Unfortunately, Narek Manasyan, who suffered defeat in the semifinals and lodged a complaint over the referees' decision, will not participate in the finals. The complaint from the Armenian coaches and athlete was not accepted, and the match's outcome remains unchanged. The boxer who defeated Manasyan will compete for the title in the 92 kg category.
