More than 30 People Killed in Stampede at Port Harcourt Church
During an event organized by a church in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, Nigeria, a stampede occurred, resulting in the deaths of over 30 people, as reported by the Punch newspaper, citing police sources.
Grace Irinj-Kokon, spokesperson for the state police, stated that the church was preparing to distribute gifts and food to assist the poor during the event. An investigation has been launched to determine the causes of the tragedy.
