‘He is prone to forceful methods’: Peskov on Borrell

The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, despite his position, is not an advocate of diplomatic resolution; he tends to favor forceful methods. However, Europe's militarization will not contribute to strengthening security and stability on the continent.

This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

It is noteworthy that Borrell has announced that, against the backdrop of Russia's special operation in Ukraine, the current security situation in Europe underscores the necessity of creating a unified European armed force. According to him, it is precisely militarization that underpins the idea of advancing Ukraine with armaments. This is something that does not contribute to enhancing the security and stability of the European continent.
