Croatia Opposes Finland and Sweden Joining NATO
The President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, has announced plans to instruct Croatia's permanent representative to NATO, Mario Nobilo, to vote against Finland and Sweden's membership in the alliance until the issue of electoral reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina is resolved. This was reported by RT.
"In that case, I have no choice but to write a mandate to the Croatian ambassador (about the necessity to vote against Finland and Sweden at NATO), putting him in an awkward position," said Milanović.
According to Croatia's leader, those who vote against the ratification of the agreement on Finland and Sweden's accession to NATO in parliament will be on the side of Croatia's national interests.
