Human rights defender Ruben Melikyan made a post on his Facebook page, attaching a photo: "A single mother has been arrested, leaving her minor daughter alone... The unspoken laws that have stood for centuries are crumbling..."

Earlier, he had mentioned in another post, "You do not know who the perpetrator is, nor do you know how a recording appeared online alongside a photo of citizen Emma Sargsyan. Based on that recording, public figure Avetik Chalabyan was arrested a few hours ago. Considering the reference to the recording in the official statement of the Investigative Committee, citizen Emma Sargsyan and I voluntarily presented ourselves to the Yerevan office of the Committee."
