Kherson to Seek Incorporation into Russia
The leadership of Ukraine's Kherson region intends to appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin for the incorporation of the region into the Russian Federation, stated Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the region's military-civil administration, during a press conference on Wednesday.
"The referendum held in Crimea was completely legitimate but was not accepted by the international community, which did everything to prevent Russia from being recognized as a full subject of international relations. Therefore, this will be a single decree based on the application of Kherson region's leadership addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, requesting the inclusion of Kherson region as a full subject of the Russian Federation," he said, as reported by TASS.
