Gegham Manukyan Calls NSS Weak Following Bugging Allegations
Our NSS is a weak, information-less service. It became known yesterday that a group of our opposition MPs had a surveillance program installed on their phones, although in response to my official inquiry, the NSS stated that such a program had not been brought in.
This was stated by Gegham Manukyan, a member of the ‘Armenia’ faction, in a conversation with journalists near the National Assembly. “If they at least had bugged us, they would have understood that we are not going to lead the people into the mouth of the police and provoke gunfire, as was done in the past. Aspiring to power over the blood of the people will lead to the same situation for Pashinyan,” said Gegham Manukyan.
He noted that he would try to enter the National Assembly building from the Demirchyan street area to participate in the Q&A session with the government. Other members of the ‘Armenia’ faction also entered the National Assembly with him.
It should be noted that a significant number of police forces are concentrated near all entrances of the National Assembly, and sound grenades have been placed in the courtyard of the Assembly.
