Woman Hit by Car Suffers Cardiac Arrest and Respiratory Failure, Doctor Reports
A 29-year-old woman who was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Leo, Paronyan, and Proshyan streets in Yerevan was recorded to have experienced respiratory failure and cardiac arrest upon admission. Notably, she was pregnant.
This was reported to News.am by Anatoli Gnuni, the chief doctor of the Nairi Medical Center. He stated, "At the time of hospital admission, respiratory failure and cardiac arrest were recorded, and resuscitation efforts began immediately, lasting for 1.5 hours. Unfortunately, these efforts were in vain, and biological death was recorded. The fetal heartbeat was also checked, which was absent," he added.
Earlier, we had reported that earlier today, a government convoy had hit a young pregnant woman at the Leo-Paronyan section. On April 26 at 18:24, the police operational management center received information that an SUV had struck a woman near the intersection of Leo and Paronyan streets. The RA Police reported that preliminary information indicated that the citizen was struck by a Toyota vehicle belonging to the Traffic Police, which was on duty at the time. The injured woman was transported to the Nairi Medical Center. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
