Biden Tells Macron He is Ready to Continue Close Cooperation Between the U.S. and France
U.S. President Joe Biden congratulated French leader Emmanuel Macron on his election victory during a phone call on Monday and assured him that he is ready to continue close bilateral cooperation. This was stated in a White House announcement, according to TASS.
It was noted that Biden “congratulated him on his re-election.”
The U.S. President emphasized that the United States and France, the oldest allies of the U.S., have close and stable relations based on shared democratic values, economic ties, and cooperation in the field of security.
“President Biden expressed his willingness to continue working closely with President Macron in areas that are common global priorities for us,” the document states.
